Chron started as a scrappy fix for a problem we had ourselves. It became something people wanted. We're still figuring it out — and we ship every week.

How Chron started

In 2019, our founders were running a small digital agency. At the end of each month, they'd spend hours piecing together spreadsheets and chat messages trying to figure out what their team had actually worked on — and whether they'd been profitable. The existing tools were either too expensive, too complicated, or designed for freelancers rather than teams.

So they built a simple internal tool. Within a few months, other agencies started asking for access. By 2021, Chron was a full product with paying customers. Today, over 10,000 teams in 80+ countries use it every day.

2019

Founded

Marcus and Priya, running a 12-person agency, build a scrappy internal tool to stop losing billable hours in Slack threads.

2020
